Alias search – Performs a social security trace looking for multiple names connected to the applicant in order to find aliases and maiden names. All names found are run through the National Criminal Database as well as all of the Sexual Offender Registries.

A residence history is returned from a number of sources to be used as a sort of “Resume Verifier”, and to be used to choose any particular County Criminal Checks you wish to run.

Your applicant’s Social Security number is checked against a database at the Social Security Administration to protect against identity theft of deceased persons. A growing number of dishonest applicants are using the identity of a deceased person to obtain employment.

While the National Criminal Search does a helpful sweep through a database, a County Criminal Check looks at a particular applicant, and requests their record direction from the County Courthouse in the county of your choice. Court decisions have suggested that your use the county the applicant recently moved from or where they have lived the longest.
